What does "YADA" mean?

"YADA" is the Hebrew word meaning "to know". This is not a basic knowledge of something, but rather a knowledge that can only be achieved through experience, observation and intimacy.

"YADA" is first referenced in Genesis when Adam "knew" Eve and they had children in the flesh. "YADA" is also referenced in John, to refer to the spiritual knowing we must have with our creator. Therefore, we should strive for this spiritual knowing that can only be achieved through experience, observation and intimacy with our LORD.

"And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." ~ John 17:3 ~
